I support House Bill 1024 which will protect the retirement funds of NH residents from being used inappropriately to the benefit of a president and/or their family. This bill will protect residents from being taken advantage of and the risk of their retirement funds being exploited for personal financial gain of a politician.

16 submissionsPlease support this bill. No matter who is elected to serve in the Oval Office, the NH Retirement system should never help a sitting president profit. Period. Thank you for reading my input, and thanks to your staff for helping you!
I support this bill. Retirement funds should be used for actual retired people and not for anything else. The elderly are already a vulnerable population, they should get the funds they're entitled to.
I support this bill, as it would end the grifting we're seeing TODAY in the White House. Do the right thing, please.
I am in support of this bill. I have been working too hard just to be able to retire in 40 years. I don't understand why everyones retirement fund is regarded as the presidents pocket money to do with at will. I pay regular taxes too, just like any other working person that lives in this state.
Haven't we seen enough grift already? Public service is SUPPOSED to be about SERVING THE PUBLIC, not serving the private financial interests of officials.
Testimony in Support of NH HB 1024 I wholeheartedly support HB 1024, which seeks to prohibit the New Hampshire retirement system from investing in businesses owned by a sitting president or their family. This bill promotes essential ethical standards and aligns with the principles of good governance. By ensuring that state investments are free from potential conflicts of interest, we uphold the integrity of our retirement system and protect the financial well-being of our citizens. Furthermore, this legislation serves as a crucial step in reinforcing public trust in our government institutions. Allowing investments in such enterprises could raise concerns about accountability and transparency. By enacting HB 1024, we demonstrate a commitment to safeguarding our retirement funds from unethical influences and ensure that our investments prioritize the collective interests of New Hampshire citizens over partisan gains. This is an important move towards fostering an equitable and just financial landscape for all.
