I support this bill, and I ask that you do too! During the Covid era, a bill passed to give all healthcare facilities in New Hampshire a blanket immunity regarding Covid-19. This bill repeals this liability shield. As far as I'm concerned, this shield should have NEVER been granted to begin with! If they can't be held accountable, what's to stop them from doing this again!

Holding facilities legally liable for outcomes that resulted from compliance with those very directives would effectively punish institutions for doing what was asked of them by the public health system itself. This creates a chilling effect that would discourage future compliance with emergency guidance at precisely the moments when coordinated, system-wide adherence matters most. It would also divert critical institutional resources away from patient care and into prolonged litigation, disproportionately burdening safety-net hospitals and rural facilities that were already operating at or beyond capacity. Greetings from Sullivan County I support this bill to end immunity from prosecution for the medical industrial complex. This is the only way to preserve our rights, Sue those who violate them. It will likely make healthcare more expensive, but I know of no other means to prevent shoddy care, since competition is illegal in government healthcare.
