Transparency is a key component to a democracy.
transparency
We need more transparancy if we want free and fair elections. Please pass this bill!
.
"Just who is donating all this money?". We need to know !!!!Any political committee that is exempt from taxation under sections 501(c)(4), 501(c)(5), or 501(c)(6) of the United States Internal Revenue Code of 1986 shall be required to disclose in its itemized statement of receipts, the identity of its donors.
I am an independent voter, and I have become increasingly alarmed by the corruption in our state. I support any effort in Concord to increase transparency in political donations and campaign finance. NH citizens have a right to know who is giving money to our elected officials. This bill is a small increase in transparency. Please support it. Thank you.
Testimony is for the non-germane amendment
We definitely need more disclosure of political donations and who those donors are. I support this bill.
This bill is an attempt to address transparency in election donations answering the question "who is donating ALL this money?". I would like to see this amended to a certain amount. How much is all this money?
If the state of NH would pay its fair share, we taxpayers would save far more on property taxes. Stop the gop tax scam for once and for all. NH must fund public education. GOP lawmakers pretend to lower taxes, but it's only for the rich, so New Hampshire families pay for it in the end.
This bill, like HB1083, will increase transparency of campaign contributions which I wholeheartedly support.
Accountability in campaign financing.
Out of state groups as well as special interest groups in the state with lots of money are trying to affect the outcome of our state elections. This bill helps make transparent who is vested in the outcomes of certain bills.
Donors to political committees should be publicly known.
