I support HB1208 because clear caller identification requirements help protect residents from fraud and deceptive telemarketing practices. Strengthening transparency in phone communications is a straightforward consumer-protection measure

Can we just ban telemarketers? Does anyone enjoy cold calls? Has anyone ever given money to someone who tries to sell them something over the phone? I get harassed regularly by people from Massachusetts who are trying to sell me a roof, windows, and gutters. They all use caller ID but when I block them they just call from a different number. I rent so I am never shopping for these items or services. It stops for a few months after I mass report them to the do not call list, but then they start up again a few months later. Can we just ban them completely?
