There is no evidence of widespread non-citizen voting in New Hampshire. HB 1062 fuels misinformation and undermines trust instead of improving election security.

Excellent idea!

Robert DrysdaleSupportHanover, NHfor MyselfFeb 3, 2026

More notice of constitutional amendments makes sense.

Shirley MontgomerySupportHanover, NHfor MyselfFeb 3, 2026

I think it would be good to be able to review constitutional amendments prior to needing to vote on them. This bill would aid in that process.

we the public need to know when something as important as a constitutional amendment is proposed. If we are not informed, how can we oppose such an amendment? And what does it say about transparency in our government if constitutional amendments are being proposed, promoted etc without their public announcement?

I support this bill which would require a 60 day notice be publicly posted before any voting on proposed constitutional amendments. This notice would give voters time to understand the reason for proposing the change.

Gabriele LiebergSupportNewfields, NHfor MyselfFeb 3, 2026

I support this bill.

Donna TullySupportLittleton, NHfor MyselfFeb 3, 2026

I support this bill for the sake of NH voters.

Gregory DavisSupportSalem, NHfor MyselfFeb 3, 2026

Another unnecessary obstacle to voting. It's voter suppression

Yes!! Having the SOS post on a designated page on the SOS website the upcoming constitutional amendment proposals will help reduce confusion at the polls! I am also a poll worker and am confirming for you that this WILL help us out at the polls on Election Day. I would ask that in the information on that web page, please include original text and proposed new text. The people need to see the words of the changes being proposed. Thank you for this bill!

Clear notice ensures voters are informed and can participate meaningfully in constitutional changes.

Please support HB 1247. This bill supports practical, responsible policy and helps move New Hampshire in a positive direction. Please vote Ought to Pass on HB 1247.

Joanna AndrosSupportWalpole, NHfor MyselfFeb 3, 2026

This is a sensible law which merits support.

Andrea PowersSupportBristol, NHfor MyselfFeb 3, 2026

I think it is very important that voters have notice and access to information regarding proposed constitutional amendments. This allows voters to become are of the issues in order to make an informed decision before they vote.

Nancy JerauldSupportLitchfield, NHfor MyselfFeb 3, 2026

It seems common-sense to notify the public about upcoming constitutional amendments by publishing them on the state's website. Please vote to pass this bill.

This important Bill requires the secretary of state to create, post on the secretary of state's website, and otherwise distribute notice of proposed constitutional amendments.

Dennis CapodestriaSupportBridgewater, NHfor MyselfFeb 3, 2026

I support making it easier for the electorate to become informed about proposed constitutional amendments, and therefore I support this bill.

Jennifer HighlandSupportBridgewater, NHfor MyselfFeb 3, 2026

This would be a useful way to help the electorate gain a better understanding of proposed constitutional amendments prior to entering the voting booth. It is a common-sense policy.

Rosemary D'ArcySupportBristol, NHfor MyselfFeb 3, 2026

Notice of proposed constitutional amendments needs to be posted in a way and in a time frame that allows voters to understand what these amendments could mean before they have to vote.

Abby evankowSupportGorham, NHfor MyselfFeb 3, 2026

Please support HB 1247: to require the Secretary of State to create, post on the SOS website, and distribute notice of proposed constitutional amendments. These are often important bills but poorly understood. HB 1247 will get the voters a better chance to understand proposed constitutional amendments before they enter the voting booth.

Bonnie BrunoOpposeHollis, NHfor MyselfFeb 3, 2026

HB 1247 is not about informing voters — it is about establishing authority over how constitutional amendments are framed. In a gerrymandered legislature that routinely ignores the will of the majority, this bill functions as a gateway law that enables future manipulation under the guise of transparency. I oppose it.

Constitutional amendments can be complicated and sometimes hard to understand; therefore, the Secretary of State's office posting such amendments would allow voters to study and understand them prior to actually enter the voting booth. Please vote in favor of this bill.
