NH’s Multi-Tiered System of Supports for Behavioral Health and Wellness (MTSS-B) is a framework that helps provide behavioral health support to our students. The three tiers of this system work together to ensure that all kids in our public schools are given positive behavioral expectations. Some children can benefit from Tier 2, which simply means they will receive coping support and skill building. This can help children who are struggling in school. The kids with the highest needs have access to individualized behavioral health services through local community health care partners. There will always be some children who need more supports to be successful, and this is a thoughtful and impactful way of helping those children. MTSS-B can reduce exclusionary practices like suspension and expulsion. It can improve instructional time by decreasing disruptive behaviors in the classroom, and it can increase academic success. This initiative had bipartisan support and was signed into law by a republican governor just a few short years ago. I am not sure why this committee is considering ending the Multi-Tiered System of Supports before we see the impact it could have on our students. Please give this framework a chance to make a difference. Please vote ITL on this bill.

I strongly oppose the construction of data centers here in NH

I support this bill because these huge data centers will have a negative environmental impact on our communities. Our environment needs to be protected and is important to our health and quality of life.

NH should not allow the construction of data centers until we fully understand the impact on surrounding communities, energy usage and rate impact on residents, and the environmental impact (water). These facilities are already showing severe negative impact on the communities in which they sit.

Before allowing data centers to be constructed in New Hampshire, it's important to understand the impact of those centers. Please support this bill.

Data centers enable AI development. AI is being adopted much faster than we can possibly learn of its dangers. Data centers may also pose potentially irreversible damage to the environment on which our lives depend.

I am very concerned about data centers and their impaction local communities - excessive use of electricity and water and creation of excessive noise. They need to be prohibited until we can study their impacts and properly regulate them. It is a quality of life in NH issue.

Important to have a study committee investigate what impact a data center would have in the community where it would be located. Does NH need them? If so, where can they safely be placed, without harming natural resources, quality of life or property values.

I strongly support HB1265 because data centers have significant and well-documented environmental impacts, including high energy demand, water use, and heat pollution. A temporary moratorium is a responsible step that gives the state time to fully assess these risks before allowing large-scale facilities that could strain our grid and natural resources. I urge the committee to adopt this bill to ensure New Hampshire makes evidence-based decisions that protect residents and the environment.

I prioritize our land and environment in front of the need for data centers. I am also concerned about drinking water.

While recognizing the potential benefit of AI, we must go into establishing Data Centers with our eyes wide open. This study commission will help us understand and then then mitigate the undesirable environmental impact of establishing such centers in NH.

I support this bill. Declaring a moratorium on the construction of new data centers in NH for one year is a good idea to give time to study their environmental impact since they require th use of so much water and electricity.

NH doesn't need or want data centers here. We see what havoc they are reeking on other communities around the country, spiking electric bills, causing health concerns for those with homes near them, and plummeting real estate values for those homes around them, in addition to effecting water supplies. We ALREADY pay some of the highest rates in the country for our electricity. And our natural resources are precious to the residents here. I wholeheartedly support this bill prohibiting them!

Support to keep electricity prices as low as possible for New Hampshire residents.

DATA MINING is now the biggest draw on our grid, raising electric prices and impacting the climate. At the same time this state is shutting down renewable systems. Completely upside down policies.

Libraries should be controlled by the people and not by the government--to preserve critical thinking and avoid authoritarianism.

This is for the sake of all NH voters.

We need to have a clear understanding of the potential long term impact that large data centers may have on public health, the environment, and other natural resources. Pausing the building of these centers is necessary to allow a thorough assessment of the risk/benefit to the residents of NH.

Passage of HB 1265 makes a great deal of sense to me, Given the significant potential impacts of data centers on our communities, environment and energy infrastructure, a one year moratorium on their construction along with the establishment of a committee to study their many impacts is a wise course to pursue Thank you for your consideration, John Walsh

Data centers use an alarming amount of energy. The effect of data centers should be investigated thoroughly before allowing them in our state.
