Stop making house maintenance more unnecessarily expensive. Some houses built years ago under less stringent requirements would require unnecessary extensive modification for maintenance of otherwise simple component replacement. All you do with forcing more recent code is just to line the pockets of electricians and plumbers and cause misery for home owners.
How would HB134 interact with HB96, which would update building energy codes to 2021 standards. Would the 2023 electric code be less stringent? Please do not enact any bill that would interfere with bringing building energy codes to the more rigorous 2021 standard.
