In Claremont, there is nothing to audit. The books are being reconstituted as I write. I believe I understand the desired outcome, but I fear this bill is badly written and will make things worse, not better. Please proceed with caution.
This is for the sake of all NH voters.
First, let the market decide where housing is built. This is not a planned economy. Second, if implemented anyway, this should not be a tax on the rich second-home owner. We will drive those folks from the state. A graduated special assessment is fine, just start lower where the normal homeowner is. We must all feel the pain if we are going to socialize this endeavor.
