218 submissionsI don't believe any foreign money should be allowed as campaign donations. But if there's no way to stop it, then we want that documented.
As a limited liability corporation is simply a legal fiction that allows the owners of said LLC to simply spread their financial liabilities, it should not be used as a shield to hide campaign finance contributions and should be attributed to said officers so that their attempts at influencing elections can be seen by all.
I support ALL bills that strengthen campaign finance disclosures. Transparency in who is funding our politicians is key to a strong democracy.
No candidate should hide their campaign disclosures. Transparency is what makes our elections honest.
There is already too much Dark Money being donated to political campaigns. Without this chanage an individual contributor can hide their identity and excede their legal political contribution.
There are too many unusual cases that may cause an eligible person to vote. Law should enable exceptional cases recourse.
Important to know… transparency for limited liability companies
This bill will require LLC’s to disclose their donors. Important for transparenty
Transparency!
This bill will destroy the definition of an adequate education, eliminating art, music, technology, etc. and will pave the way for the state to provide even less support for public education, Children need to be educated in a variety of academic areas.
I am writing to express my strong support for HB 141, which would require that political contributions made by limited liability companies (LLCs) be attributed to individual members. This bill is a necessary step toward transparency and fairness in campaign finance, ensuring that no one is able to circumvent contribution limits by hiding behind an entity. Why HB 141 is Necessary: Ensures Fair Participation in Elections As Americans, we believe in fair and open participation in our democratic system. Contribution limits exist to prevent undue influence by any one individual, and HB 141 ensures that these limits are applied fairly to everyone. Prevents LLCs from Being Used to Bypass Contribution Limits Without this bill, individuals can use LLCs as a loophole to contribute more than legally allowed, distorting the political process. HB 141 closes this loophole by making sure contributions are rightfully attributed to the individuals behind them. Transparency Without Unnecessary Burdens I do not see how this would impose any significant burden on LLCs, as they already maintain ownership records for tax and legal purposes. Simply reporting who is contributing and in what proportion is a reasonable expectation to ensure accountability in our elections. Strengthens Public Trust in Our Elections Voters deserve to know who is funding political campaigns. HB 141 increases transparency, building public confidence in our electoral system and ensuring that no entity can be used to disguise excessive contributions. Conclusion New Hampshire should continue to be a leader in fair and transparent elections. HB 141 ensures that no individual or entity can unfairly tip the scales by exceeding contribution limits through an LLC. I strongly urge you to vote YES on HB 141 and support this common-sense reform to protect the integrity of our campaign finance system.
Currently, in many NH communities, the Supervisors of the Checklist will visit nursing homes and other elder care facilities, enabling residents to easily complete absentee ballots. This is a safe, efficient, and easy way for our communities' seniors to vote. Do not make it harder for our senior population to participate in voting!
Transparency for all donors is important. Closing this loop hole will reduce the dark money in our elections.

Anything to minimize the corrupting power of unchecked money.
The more open and transparent campaign financing is, the better.
Dark Money has no place in our elections. The House Election Law Committee should aim at making registering and voting as uncomplicated as possible. Past and Present Secretaries of State have assured the public that voter fraud is essentially nil.
