For the record, I am Thomas Oppel, Representative for Grafton District 9, encompassing the towns of Canaan, Dorchester & Orange. This bill would provide at least some reimbursement to communities hosting gaming for the added expense. Additional traffic, additional policing requirements, impacts to infrastructure are just some of the expenses concurrent with being a host community to gaming facilities. I support a recommendation of Ought to Pass as a simple matter of fairness.
