This is common sense. Legislators should make it their duty to understand the accurate fiscal implications of EVERY bill BEFORE has been heard in committee. It's a fiduciary responsibility of every elected official.
We should know the truth about cost of proposed legislation before we have to decide on it.
I am in support of this bill to improve the usefulness of fiscal notes.
It is critical that full fiscal notes indicating the cost of implementing bills that get enacted, before and/or during the committee process. Further, these notes being made available to the public in an understandable format.
We need more transparency in government.
If this bill passes, it will put multiple families at risk. Times are tough enough as it is, why would we take this benefit away from New Hampshire residents who are in need of this funding?

Fiscal notes especially in education have been misleading or not available as the department will not provide accurate and timely fiscal notes. This needs to stop.
Residents of the Granite Stare depend on this coverage. At this point, I believe there are over 10,000 eligible recipients who count on this benefit. It will cause significant hardship to eliminate the coverage.
This is a sneaky way of getting around the requirement that someone must live in the town of the school district.
