Religious exemption is not scientifically based reasoning to refuse a vaccination that protects the health of entire communities. If you can prove a vaccine is harmful, that's a different thing.

This bill undermines public health messaging when New Hampshire already faces rising exemption rates.

I urge you to oppose this bill that will harm the health of NH's children and vulnerable individuals. NH should be protecting, not injuring the public's health!

NH should be providing accurate public health information about the importance of vaccines and not trying to scare people and encourage them to have their children opt out of these lifesaving vaccines. Vaccines are being politicized in a coordinated national effort and this will only harm our NH families who have shown healthier outcomes than many other states due to strong public health education and the availability of evidence based information and easy access to vaccines. I'm a pediatrician and this is insane

Requiring such steps outlined in HB1584 will impose an unnecessary administrative burden and will only exacerbate a rise in vaccine exemption rates - which have increased from 2.7% in 2020-2021 to 4.1% in 2024-2025 - not due to those personally held beliefs and health conditions, but due to a distrust in our public health systems and evidence-based vaccine policy. Standardized information management is a hallmark of respect for communication. Suggesting that important health choices that should be noted and affirmed can be delivered via a simple posting does not ensure informed consent or more shared decision making with trusted healthcare providers, but instead sends a message of uncertainty and cynicism to parents and families.

I strongly urge you to oppose this unnecessary bill. It politicizes health information when granite staters should receive information that conveys risks and benefits, not advertise pathways for opting out. This information is already clearly stated on the school and childcare immunizations pages of the NH Health and Human Services website. "Promoting" exemptions increases the risks for our children, our families, and our communities, especially among the most vulnerable, including children to young to be immunized and those with serious health conditions. Without stringent safeguards or oversight, this legislation threatens to erode decades of public health progress and exacerbate existing health disparities. True equity in health means safeguarding the well-being of all, not promoting exemptions that could lead to widespread repercussions, particularly among marginalized groups who are often the most affected by preventable diseases.

Requiring prominent warnings about exemptions on all state vaccine materials distorts the purpose of public health communication. Education materials are meant to convey accurate risk–benefit information, not to advertise pathways to opt out. Clearly the intent of this bill is to kill elderly people with vaccine preventable diseases. I oppose this morally, medically, and scientifically reprehensible bill.

As the spouse of a severely immune compromised cancer patient, it's SHOCKING to me the blatant disregard some of our elected representatives have for evidence based public health practices. You have been elected to serve the people of NH - all people - and while you may feel that turning over "choice" to individuals is aligned with our democratic principles, the reality shows that this is really a choice to disregard the wellness of our whole community. Please vote no on this bill.

Encouraging more exemptions from vaccines and immunizations is a threat to everyone's health and safety - I oppose this bill.

Please protect our children from preventable disease

I want my children to be able to be healthy and not get sick. I want people at greater risk from illness to have just as much opportunity as everyone else to participate in our society.

This is a bill which would have the effect of increasing exemption rates and disease outbreaks. It makes no sense and should be voted down.

It is hard enough now for working parents to work and raise a family now we want to add one more unneeded requirement to keep them healthy. Let us not go backwards. Let Science be our guide.
