97 submissionsIf a person is not ready to bear a child, they should not be forced to do so. We are straying farther and farther from the protection of women in this country. If a man was capable of convincing a child over a 9 month period, we would have abortion clinics more available than mc Donald’s. Any bill proposed to prohibit a person from seeking an abortion is done so with their religion in mind completely forgotten the separation between church and state. It is against our constitution for religious beliefs to be so deeply embedded in our political system, but here we are. Fighting against a bill that would allow women a choice that is of no one else’s concern.
The state should never be able to take property. Making it harder and more costly is a step in the right direction
If my understanding is correct that this bill is IN FAVOR of expanding the pretext for which the state can seize private property, then I'm rather opposed to this. The real damned thing is I bet those cosplay-libertarian Freestaters are gonna be tripping over themselves to sneak this through if they can in between bleating about small government and not getting tread on.
Support HB 1611-FN The bill makes it very expensive to seize private property and less likely for the power to be utilized.
Stealing.
Do not give this much power to state government. Vote to nix this power grab that could be utilized.
I support HB1611
RSA 4:46 is an emergency power law that could be abused by a future governor and future emergency.
NO
Property rights are a fundamental building block of our society. Given constant and rapid growth of housing and property, it is essential that any theft of property be financially good for the owner and hard for the government.
This impeachment effort is not based on wrongdoing. It is because some people disagree with what Councilor
RSA 4:46 is an emergency power law that, though never utilized to date, has the potential to be abused by a future governor in a future emergency situation. It grants the governor the ability to take any private property via eminent domain. The bill makes it very expensive to seize private property and thus less likely for that power ever to be utilized. Thank you for supporting HB 1611.
I have become aware that in 2020 , lacking of 2020 eyesight for liberty, lawmakers were negligent in passing a RSA 4:46 which has never been used. Thank God for protecting us! This law enables future governors to become tyrants in future emergency. Abusive government, happened otherwise during COVID, even though Executive decrees are not laws in the United States, that is unless you want our country to follow the history of the Third Reich. So powerfully exposed in the book, The Rise and Fall of The Third Reich by William . Schirer. Executive Decrees make legislatures obsolete. The automatic implementation of RSA: 446 would allow property rights during future emergencies to be seized through Eminent Domain. I implore you to vote for HB 1611 to prevent future abuse of liberty.
Vindictive and a waste of tax. dollars.
RebuildNH board members discovered a very potentially tyrannical law on the books back in 2020 and wrote this bill to poison pill it. RSA 4:46 is an emergency power law and has never been utilized, but could surely be abused by a future governor and future emergency. It grants the governor the ability to take any private property via eminent domain. The bill makes it very expensive to seize private property and less likely for the power to be utilized. I feel there shouldn't be a bill allowing anyone in the state or federal government to seize private property at all at any time! YOU/THEY work for us remember!!! Why is this even on the books? I totally support this bill!!
Please support this bill. I cannot even imagine anyone voting it down! They are not a home owner! Power over is fascism. Power with is way more powerful.
I support HB1611.
Anyone who owns property would support this.
The bill makes it very expensive to seize private property and less likely for the government overreach of power to be utilized.
Greetings from Sullivan County I support this bill to prevent future damage from RSA 4:46 emergency powers overshoot. Having seen the mess that Kelo v New London made of federal law, I prefer not to repeat this mistake in NH. Eminent domain abuse for theft of home equity, theft of motels, theft of competitors land, ... The worst was of course the theft of black owned property via redlining, zoning, and federal lending practices. If you can't repeal it, make sure it is punitively priced to prevent any future governor from temptation.
I support this bill.
