I support utilities reporting on the estimated cost of capacity upgrades related to proposed data centers prior to the approval of any new data center. In addition the full cost of any upgrades must be born by the data centers and not by the surrounding community which will have to bare decrease in property values due to the excess noise and water usage caused by the data center.

Support 1742, and help solar customers like me not lose my metering credits if I should switch to a new provider without understanding or realizing that that happened.
I support HB 1724 because transparent reporting of utility cost components helps ratepayers understand what they are paying for and strengthens accountability in the electric system. Clear, public cost breakdowns support informed oversight and protect consumers.
