The decision to include “small nuclear reactors” in the clean energy portfolio is premature. There remains a considerable risk to the public since most of this highly hazardous waste is stored on site. Alternatively, many communities object to the transfer of these spent fuel rods across their towns to sites out west.. More work needs to be done before we consider nuclear energy generation safe and cost-effective.

14 submissionsChanging "Clean energy" to include small scale nuclear energy, which is not defined in this bill, and fuel diversity does not make sense. This bill is a way you're trying to label unclean energy as clean energy so you can trick the uninformed public. I also think that if there is still an energy efficiency and sustainable energy board, they absolutely should be involved in energy strategy planning for the state.
