Veterans should have access to these products through the VA but that is not possible for them today. Waiving the fee will allow them to recoup some up front costs they confront in going through the channels they use to get a referral today. It is a small thank you for their service to remove this barrier.
I'm in favor of this bill because it has a $0 net fiscal impact. I'm curious if a discount would be better than free for the future?
I oppose this bill. In my professional life, as the Director of the Raymond Coalition For Youth, I see how many children are impacted by the rising use of marijuana in our state, be it their own use or mainly that of their parents or caregivers. I believe in Veteran’s having affordable access to this medicinal plant.
Just what we need ... making veterans lives more difficult by doping them up.
Thus would be a start in the path of helping veterans getting the care that they need.
I am not a veteran, but I feel strongly that those who have served our nation deserve to have this fee waived.
