I support HB252 because it is important to respect the history of New Hampshire by continuing to celebrate our notable historic figures. Daniel Webster qualifies under that distinction, an excellent example of a New Hampshirite who should be commemorated. As a two-time Secretary of State, born and educated in New Hampshire, the lasting positive impact of Daniel Webster on the nation is one that should not be forgotten. Establishing a Daniel Webster Day will help to preserve the memory of an honorable New Hampshirite.
