Mr. Chair and Members of the Ways & Means Committee: I am writing in support of HB328 establishing a charitable gaming oversight commission as prime-sponsored by Rep. Ames. As a co-sponsor and former member of the House Ways & Means Committee, I wish to add my support for the commission’s work through 2035. I am particularly concerned that oversight of charitable gaming be strengthened because the footprint of charitable gaming in NH continues to grow and because charitable organizations seem to be be taking a disproportionately small portion of the winnings home. I urge you to vote OTP of HB328 and hope you will support this bipartisan legislation. Sincerely, Rep. Mary Hakken-Phillips Grafton 12 (Hanover, Lyme)
