I grew up on the water in a different New England state. Commercial fisherman's kid. A permit to moor a boat? Really??? We paid for slips or moorings, but the slips were owned by the town or private marina and the mooring by various companies who WILL tow your boat. The town had transient stuff available. It worked. I'll grant you the modification to 270:59, but the 270:64 requirement of a permit is insane. Permit from whom? A town's water is a town's water. If Meredith or Rye want a harbormaster with an enforcement arm and a permitting scheme, that's on them. Statewide permitting requirement from republicans. Jeesh, it truly is the uniparty.
