Dear Committee, I urge you to OPPOSE HB466 as this bill is in violation of the Miranda Rights and in violation of a person's ability to not self-incriminate. This bill is being submitted at the request of the Department of Safety, yet that department already has sufficient NH RSA guiding what they can and cannot do - so there is no need to pass this bill. I would argue that this bill is also in direct violation of a Granite Stater's Right to Privacy as codified in the New Hampshire Constitution Part First, Article 2-b. This is crazy punitive for someone having bad judgement. Sponsors would make us a state without jobs or even freedom to be productive. Using bill's tougher penalty logic, why not just kill offenders?
