Information would be too extensive and overwhelming on the overall tax bill, but this detailed information should be available online to residents. Context and details required would result in lengthy bills.

This would negatively impact consumers and small businesses. I strongly oppose this bill.

Granite State Taxpayers supports efforts and legislation to promote awareness of the financial impact on taxpayers of spending and taxing options, to institute and defend tax cap legislation, and promote better public awareness of the impacts of proposed projects and ballot choices. This bill requires a notation stating the estimated tax impact for any special warrant article with a multi-year tax impact in towns that have voted to require a notation stating the estimated tax impact of the annual budget and all special warrant articles. This provides better public awareness of the tax impact of proposed projects. Granite State Taxpayers recommends a vote FOR HB495 Ray Chadwick, Board Member

This information is readily available to each town and city and easy enough for them to distribute this.

Why stuff tax bills with extra information of little interest to most taxpayers ? For those who care, the information is generally available in the published (and usually online) annual report. I would not oppose a simple reference to the report on the tax bill nor mandating a clear summary in the annual report.
