Do you understand how microwaves "heat" food in a microwave over? Originally they were called "radar" ovens. How does a microwave distinguish between water molecules in food and water molecules in the human body? Do you understand the relationship of the Krebs Cycle and the mitochondria producing ATP? Small amounts of daily exposure can be harmful over long periods of time. The 3 D's = Duration, Distance, Down Time, can reduce EMF exposure. There are humans that are Electro Hyper Sensitive to electromagnetic radiation. There is a "Quiet Zone" in Green Bank, WV, where the Green Bank radio telescope is located and requires a highly restricted EM radiation area of 13K square miles. Towns should be allowed to establish their own "quiet zone" in order to protect humans from EMF's. Once pollinators are harmed or killed, the food supply will be greatly reduced and could potentially end. How important will cell phones, wifi and the internet be at that point?
The FCC's wireless radiation human exposure limits have remained unchanged since 1996. This is despite the 2021 US Court of Appeals for District of Columbia circuit court judgment in Environmental Health Trust et al v. the FCC, where the federal government was mandated to explain how they arrived at thier conclusions. Towns and their citizens should have the authority to decide for themselves if they want 5G cell towers in their towns. Industry or the state or the feds should not override those who actually live in the town for this important topic. 5G towers have been shown to negatively affect wildlife and human health. This bill gives municipalities the authority to deny a specific type of project (5G) based on considerations including but not limited to public health, safety, and welfare, environmental impacts, and consistency with local zoning ordinances. This essentially allows a town to deny a 5G project for any reason. Supporters of this bill claim that 5G is harmful to public health, yet there is not scientific evidence to support this.

This equipment has been shown to have adverse effects on certain people. Until this problem can be resolved, towns should have the right to reject this equipment.

Towns need to be the decider of where infrastructure goes as we are the ones that have to live with it everyday. As studies have shown, radio frequency in the range of cell towers (2.4ghz and 5.8 ghz) does in fact disrupt bees homing abilities. The effects of these frequencies on people are still not fully known. I don't think we need to be deathly afraid of these signals seeing as they are here and aren't going away anytime soon, but I think it's important to let towns have more control over what they are exposed to. The manual our cellphones come with does state that your cellphone should maintain a certain distance away from your body at all times. This is according to SAR (Specific Absorption Rate) guidelines set by regulatory bodies such as the FCC (U.S.), ICNIRP (International). So I think it is important to show caution where radio frequency exposure is happening, given the rising cancer rates worldwide, the source of which is not fully known yet. Potential health concerns aside, I think it is just important to let towns have more say in where infrastructure is placed because it gives the regular person more say in what happens in their community where they live.
I support HB 501. This bill hits close to home for me. As someone that has been medically diagnosed with EHS. (Electric hypersensitivity) and disabled by this condition, laws need to be put in place to protect the most vulnerable. Townspeople need to continue to have their voice counted when it comes to living in a safer environment. It is important for towns to take into consideration anyone that has a disability or medical condition that would impact them from feeling safe in their own homes if 5G became available in residential areas. I live in a town currently with no cell towers. I chose this town for that very reason. My body cannot physically handle man made frequencies from 4g Cell towers and 5G. There are many people out there like me that cannot be near 4g and 5G. It shuts our bodies down. It takes away our rights to live in a safe environment. It is a pollutant that attacks the immune system, neurological nervous system, organs, cells and tissue. It is debilitating. 4G and 5G has histological effects on everyone but not everyone feels the effects. If everyone felt the pain from 4G and 5G then we would not have to convince anyone that it is harmful.
No one can argue this Bill. There are many issues related to aesthetics, safety, noise levels and property valuations. There is no federal law that mandates this. The FCC rule was never confirmed by Congress unless I missed this. NH should be mandating fibre optics anyways. This Bill allows for local communities to decide .. . and the benefits of 5G are almost non existent in most communities. Let's remember the work done in NH 5-6 years ago.. So many obtrusive cell towers have already gone up in residential areas with no recourse offered to citizens to reject their placement. This bill should have already been in place.

I do not support bills developed based on conspiracy theories. If you want municipalities to be able to deny building things based on "reasons for the denial, including but not limited to considerations of public health, safety, and welfare, environmental impacts, and consistency with local zoning ordinances." Then that should extend to ANY construction and not just 5g. You chose 5g because it's a conspiracy theory. Stop it. Stop wasting our tax money on conspiracy theories.
