This state needs every possible dollar that it can allocate from taxes towards public education! Reliance on the local property tax to the degree that we do here is regressive and a significant burden on many of our residents.

I support HB 503. As a household that has been paying the interest and dividends tax, we believe it should be reestablished for the benefit of our public education system. We never asked for this giveaway and recognize it as something that was put in place to placate wealthy people. If businesses want to have a well educated work force, they should be willing to support this bill. Businesses that are owned by out-of-state entities should be paying their way here, not being sheltered.

Vaccines provide protection not only to individuals but to communities against infectious disease. The NH vaccination program to ensure access to vaccinations for all children provides a path that will protect both children and their communities from the spread of communicable diseases. One job of government is to provide protections to its citizens. As a citizen of NH I want our government to continue to ensure that the health of our citizens is protected by ensuring access to vaccines for all children within our state.
We are running out of funding because of owering taxes. This must be reinstated

I oppose this bill.
would provide needed tax revenue to support education!
We need to better fund our schools.
Didn't we just repeal the Interest and Dividends tax?
The state is facing an enormous budget crisis. Property owners in towns, especially the more rural towns are seeing their property taxes skyrocket as the state continues to fall short of fulfilling its constitutional obligation to provide an adequate education. The current situation is untenable - this bill begins to address the situation and should be passed.
I strongly oppose this Bill which is nothing more than legalized theft. This is a tax increase for which there is no identifiable need for this money. Stealing more money from the residents to add to State coffers does nothing to stop the growth in local school taxes; which need to be significantly reduced.
Increases the rates of the business profits tax, business enterprise tax, and meals and rooms tax, and reestablishes the interest and dividends tax; a percentage of these revenues would be put in the education trust fund.
The state has bills to pay. You can tax actual incoming cash, the money from interest and dividends over $20,000, or you can increase the property tax on the local level. The one taxpayer has $20,000 plus to use to cover this tax bill. The homeowner needs to find the tax money from another sources.
