While I commend the novel approach of this bill, and its intent, I am skeptical of its broad application in practice and of the likelihood of its prevailing in court. IMO, a better approach is to require education institution to create verifiable economic analysis showing success in 10-year loan payoff at 30% of employment take-home wages. Wide distribution to school applicants would be required.

9 submissionsThe schools that intentionally defraud, especially those that force the federal government to forgive student loans, they should be criminally charged with fraud. Why do we need a new law placing even more responsibility on the student to vet these businesses that accept federal funds? Why would the student being scammed into signing a form exempt the scammer from a fraud charge?
