Please Support HR-25 Dear Honorable Chair and committee members - the State-Federal Relations and Veterans Affairs Committee I am writing to urge you to support HR-25, which calls for justice, recognition, and reconciliation for Bhutanese Americans, many of whom are proud citizens/residents of NH. HR-25 acknowledges the human rights abuses faced by more than 100,000 Bhutanese citizens who were forcibly displaced from their homeland in the 1990s. Today, many of them, including their children and grandchildren, call NH home. This resolution uplifts their voices and seeks peaceful, diplomatic solutions that include truth-telling, family reunification, and the release of political prisoners still detained in Bhutan. I believe the great state of NH should stand for human dignity, justice, and compassion. Passing RH-25 sends a powerful message that NH will not turn its back on the suffering of those who were once stateless and silenced. I respectfully urge you to vote yes on HR-25 and help advance the cause of peace and reconciliation. Sincerely, Name
