Voting is important in a Democracy and we should be encouraging young people to vote rather than making it more difficult.

The United States has a very very low rate of election fraud. Trump insisted after the election of 2020 that there had been massive fraud. Endless recounts and researches were done all over the country. A very minimal amount of fraud was found. Trump, whose poll numbers are low and declining, is worried his party may not do well in the midterms. He is promoting "election security" and the "Save Act". We don't need it. He could use it to try to steal the election.

A good bill would keep Political Committees from spending any money on compaigns

I oppose SB?405 because raising the reporting threshold for campaign donations reduces transparency and makes it harder for voters to see who is funding political activity. Full disclosure is essential to maintain public trust and accountability in our elections. There is so much dark money flowing into NH with outside groups, we should have access to all contributions.

I submit this testimony for the benefit of NH residents.

We already have a problem with political donations. Limiting the amount any single person or entity helps keep campaigns more fair.

Reducing account rules does NOT make sense if we're already seeing outside money powering many campaigns in our state. If anything, we should make MORE restrictions on this, so we are sure that the people running for office are not a corporate entity that is looking to run facebook ads and sway public opinion using their power. The more money in politics, the less they represent the people.
