I support SB 562 because a well-structured home damage mitigation and resiliency program can reduce long-term risk for homeowners while strengthening the stability of New Hampshire’s insurance market. I encourage the committee to ensure the program includes clear eligibility criteria, transparent oversight, and evidence-based mitigation standards so that public funds and incentives are used effectively and equitably.

42 submissionsI support this bill to establish a program that would provide grants to households that are in areas vulnerable to severe weather events. Making retrofits would reduce the number and size of insurance claims after these severe events.
I support this bill because I think it would move the state toward a more realistic view of current & future weather challenges. It also intends to reduce the frequency and severity of insurance claims.
