Division of testimony
9 submissionsdoh! I mixed up SB and HB please disregard my previous testimony =) .... I logged in to testify on other housing bills and saw 91 .... having just watched HB 91 on youtube which was heard in senate my caffeine deprived brain conflated them .... my other testimony about fireworks makes no sense to that bill .... .... .... ** howEver I do have thoughts on SB 91 .... .... ..... excellent questions by Reps Beaulieu (and Thackston), especially tax Q to Raymond Selectwoman .... .... .... also, NHMA spoke of the burden on assessors -- many towns have no assessor to even call on, it's a huge problem in NH especially rural areas .... the Raymond resident/selectwoman made great point about the property owner being responsible for their own changes .... .... another Raymond selectman echoed Sen Murphy's point that others will tell the town about changes, he said it like a good thing, she made it sound like what it is -- making your neighbors into rats .... .... leave things as they are, this bill is unnecessary ..... as one speaker whose home in a commercial zone and made great point about government at your door: "let's not try to fix something that's not broken"
in January when the house first heard this bill I had concerns it would affect backyard fireworks in rural towns but no sponsor or committee member could answer me about how it would actually work .... .... this morning it was "heard" in the senate and no sponsor showed to introduce it and no one spoke yay or nay .... .... I'd like to think the bill is dead as it should be but still wanted to testify juuuust in case, as you never know what could happen at exec or session
